Here’s our helpful list of easy ideas for what to do with all that food leftover from your Thanksgiving feast! Cook up yummy new meals with your leftovers.

  • Repeat Meal

On Friday, just have a stress-free, enjoyable repeat of Thursday’s dinner. Everything usually tastes better the second day anyway!  😉

  • Make Turkey Soup

Always save the carcass to make Turkey soup. What you don’t immediately use can be frozen.

  • Turkey Hash

Use some stuffing and mashed potato (or whatever potato you have leftover) bits; stir fry with pieces of chopped cooked turkey. Serve it with cranberry sauce.

  • After-Thanksgiving Club Sandwiches

Ideal if you’ve also made a ham in addition to Turkey. You can utilize leftover rolls for the bread.

  • A Grand Layered Turkey Sammie

Use as many leftovers as you can : turkey and ham slices topped with leftover salad and veggies, topped with cranberry sauce (and how about some stuffing!) – serve on some fancy toasted bread slices or buns. Get inventive and go crazy! Have a family contest to see who can make the best tasting sandwich.

  • Turkey Cobb Salad

Put together a traditional Cobb Salad using diced leftover turkey meat, bacon crumbles, diced tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, diced hard-boiled eggs (could use some of those leftover deviled eggs from your Thanksgiving party), chopped avocado and some minced chives served on top a bed of chopped lettuce and tossed with a simple Vinaigrette dressing.

  • Canned Cranberry Sauce Shapes

Using jellied Cranberry Sauce still in the can, cut 1 inch (or so) slices and then use small cookie cutters to cut out shapes to serve on the side of a leftover meal. Now here’s an extra cute idea: use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts that you can slip into your kids or spouse/partner’s lunch container or Bento box!

  • Family and Friends To-Go Boxes

If you just don’t want to get left with leftovers, buy some disposal containers or even some cute Bento Boxes or other lunch box containers as reusable gifts for your guests. Pack up meals for departing guests with a little bit of everything.
